Our community
Code of Conduct
Cuter exists to be a calm, kind place where anyone can be themselves without fear. These rules aren't here to be strict for the sake of it โ they're here so you can let your guard down. By joining our Discord, you agree to follow them. The short version: be kind, be safe, and look out for each other.
1. Treat everyone with kindness and respect
- No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, or pile-ons of any kind.
- No hate speech, slurs, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or bigotry of any form. Everyone is welcome here โ including LGBTQ+ members and people of every background.
- Disagree gently. Critique ideas, never people. If a conversation gets heated, step back.
2. Keep it safe-for-work and age-appropriate
- Cuter is an SFW community for ages 13 and up, in line with Discord's Terms of Service.
- No NSFW, sexual, gory, or shock content โ in messages, names, avatars, or links. It will be removed automatically and by our team.
- No sexualizing minors, ever. This results in an immediate permanent ban and a report to Discord and the relevant authorities.
3. Protect the calm
- No spam, flooding, mass-pinging, or disruptive behavior.
- No advertising, self-promotion, link-dropping, or DM solicitation without staff permission.
- No crypto/NFT shilling, scams, phishing, or attempts to sell to members.
4. Support each other responsibly
- We offer peer support, not professional or crisis care. Be a kind listener; never give medical, legal, or clinical advice.
- Never pressure anyone to share, and respect what people choose to keep private.
- If someone is in danger or in crisis, encourage them to use a crisis line or emergency services right away, and alert a staff member. See our crisis resources.
- No content that promotes, glorifies, or gives instructions for self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or substance abuse.
5. Respect privacy
- No sharing anyone's personal information without their clear consent (no doxxing).
- Don't screenshot or repost private conversations to embarrass or harm someone.
How we enforce this
Our volunteer moderation team and automated tools (AutoMod, verification, and anti-raid protection) are active around the clock. Depending on the situation, we may give a friendly reminder, a warning, a timeout, or โ for serious or repeated harm โ a removal or permanent ban. Severe violations (threats, hate, predatory behavior, doxxing) skip straight to a ban.
Reporting & appeals
If you see something that breaks these rules or makes you feel unsafe, please report the message in Discord or reach a moderator privately โ you can do this anonymously. We take every report seriously and will never punish you for asking for help in good faith. If you believe a moderation decision was a mistake, you may appeal it by contacting the staff team; we'll review it fairly.
A note on scope
Cuter is a peer-support community and is not a clinical, medical, or emergency service. Our moderators are caring volunteers, not crisis responders. In an emergency, always contact your local emergency number or a crisis line. Read the full disclaimers on our support page.
Thank you for helping keep Cuter the kind of place people are glad they found. ๐ธ
